Our Story

Dan and Kristi first met on May 11, 2010 in Old Town Alexandria.  Dan took Kristi to a fancy restaurant, doing his best to impress her.  During dinner, Kristi declared her favorite meal was Chick-fil-a.  Dan knew he had found the right one.  When Dan's dog Dylan met Kristi for the first time, he jumped up to greet her and broke her necklace.  Kristi was not one bit mad while Dan scrambled to find the pieces of her necklace.  From there their love blossomed over dates in Georgetown, Virgina wine country, Washington DC and trips to friends and family.

On May 11, 2012 they celebrated their 2 year anniversary in Jamestown Virginia in a cottage on the banks of the James River.  They took a walk down to the shore to look for seashells on the beach.  Kristi, who had been picking up photography as a hobby, grabbed her camera to take pictures.  Dan asked: "Kristi what other pictures are on the camera?"  As Kristi peered into the camera she saw a picture of Dylan holding a sign that read: Kristi, Will you be my mommy and marry my daddy?  She looked up from the camera and Dan was down on his knee.
